Dr. Shannon Pickens is the owner of Calypso Cosmetic Dermatology. She has over 10 years of experience in the field of Cosmetic Dermatology.

Dr. Pickens graduated from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Clinic and Hospital. After taking time off to raise her children, she completed a 3 year fellowship in Dermatology at Gulf South Surgical and Medical Institute.

Dr. Pickens also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor from Tulane University. She practiced law in New Orleans prior to switching careers to the field of medicine.

Dr. Pickens has extensive training and experience in numerous cosmetic dermatology treatments. She takes pride in listening to her patients carefully in order to gain a clear understanding of their aesthetic goals. Dr. Pickens uses only the highest quality products and devices in order to provide gentle and safe treatments in a relaxing environment.
